AIIB: A Problem and Opportunity for Asia and the West

Although America repeatedly reminds countries like South Korea not to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) initiated by China, Asia, a region with huge infrastructure gap still looks forward to its establishment. ANBOUND think tank scholars think that the AIIB can meet the practical need for Asian infrastructural investment. What all parties should be concerned about is the return of investment (ROI) for the AIIB in the future. The western countries shouldn't hyper-politicize this initiative. The AIIB absolutely can be regarded as a measure adopted by China to have a bigger say in the World Bank, IMF and the Bank of Asia, but it’s also an opportunity for western countries.
