Iraq Crisis Might Lead to Great Increase of Oil Price
ANBOUND
The civil war in Iraq which is a major oil producer is deteriorating. For now, it hasn't influenced oil exportation of Iraq, and the oil price hasn’t grown greatly together with the intense situation. However, if Baghdad falls, the situation will worsen sharply. ANBOUND think tank scholars hold that the stop of Iraq’s oil supply will be a serious problem for China. Last year, China surpassed America and became the largest oil importer in the world. It is also the largest foreign investor in Iraq’s oil industry. The possibility that Iraq crisis will lead to a great increase of international oil price is growing. China’s oil interest is at gradually increasing risk.
