EU Single Internal Energy Market Is Easier Said Than Done
ANBOUND
EU proposed single internal energy market as early as 1990 with the aim to reduce its dependency on Russian energy. Now, the plan is once again being the focus of attention. From ANBOUND research team's point of view, although EU has made some progress in single internal energy market but it will encounter more resistance as the plan proceed. In principle, the single internal energy market is de facto the only way for EU but specific design details will involve a lot of political interests. Therefore, EU is foreseen to be lacking in realizing the plan in the short run.
