Spending by the institution, including employee wages and student and visitor spending, results in private-sector activity that generates income, sales, and business tax for the California state government. Further, Jessup alumni add to the tax base through their earnings and subsequent spending within the state economy. Jessup's economic activity is estimated to generate $4.6 million in tax revenue for the State and increases the tax base for multiple municipalities.
