ANBOUND
Question: What are the flaws in the focus of epidemic prevention in Europe and the United States?
Chan Kung: The biggest flaw is the protection of the elderly. The nursing homes in these countries urgently need to provide comprehensive protection and support. A lot of information now shows that nursing homes can easily become concentrated places of outbreaks, which means this flaw is becoming the focus the epidemic in the society. Nursing homes are different from ordinary social institutions and should be specially designed and arranged. The United States and Europe has significant elderly populations.
The distribution of nursing homes in there is relatively dense. If a problem occurs, it would be a humanitarian disaster.
