The Chinese government has been constantly prioritizing people's livelihood in its policy goals, this indicates that people’s livelihood has become an important focus and strategic governance targets. ANBOUND research team has recently developed "ANBOUND Urban Life Stress Index" to reflect the living price pressure in different cities across China. The Index is not only important for city macro-control, but also a valuable reference for people to choose their place to live and work. It is worth noting that the living pressure in China’s first-tier cities surpassing second and third-tier cities. Meanwhile the index of life pressure in the second and third tier cities showed that there is no positive correlation with the size of the city.
