CNIA and ANBOUND Signed A Memorandum of Understanding on Research Cooperation

On the afternoon of April 26, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Research Cooperation was signed by Mr. He Jun, Director of ANBOUND's Macroeconomic Research Center and Mr. Koh King Kee, President of the Center for New Inclusive Asia (CNIA). It was witnessed by Mr. Chan Kung, ANBOUND Chief Researcher and Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, CNIA Chairman.

Both parties also shared views related to the topic on upgrading the quality of Belt & Road Initiative (BRI)'s cooperation, strengthening international communication, ASEAN countries' economic development along BRI, Chinese consumption transformation and the opportunities for investments abroad. According to the MOU, the details about joint research projects are still being discussed further.

During this week, Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat and Mr. Koh King Kee have been invited to participate in Thematic Forum on Think-Tank Exchanges of the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. They both also attended as guest speakers for the inauguration of the Belt and Road Studies Network (BRSN) co-initiated by Xinhua Institute and 15 foreign and domestic think-tanks .

CNIA is a non-government think tank based in Malaysia, which focuses on China, ASEAN development and changes in Asia. The Belt and Road is one of research fields.
