Premier Li called Jamaica an "important cooperation partner" of China in the Caribbean region, noting that the two countries elevated their ties to a strategic partnership earlier this week.
The Chinese premier called on the two sides to make more efforts to align their development strategies, adding that Beijing supports Chinese enterprises to engage in cooperation with the Jamaican side in areas such as infrastructure, tourism, agriculture and aquaculture.
China is willing to import more Jamaican products according to its market needs and boost exchanges and cooperation with Jamaica in tourism, education, sports and human resources training, among other fields.
Holness marveled at the achievements of China's development and hailed the robust relations between the two countries.
Jamaica is willing to actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, health, education, training and tourism, he told Li.
The two leaders witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents under the BRI and on economy, trade and human resources development.
The Jamaican prime minister also attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Tuesday.
