Chinese tourists in Dubai can enjoy instant VAT refunds at Dubai Airports through "We Tax Refund," a WeChat mini program launched by the Chinese tech giant Tencent, official WAM news agency reported Tuesday.

Visitors will receive their tax refunds in the Chinese RMB currency as well as a notification when the refund has been issued.

A total of 650,000 Chinese tourists visited Dubai in the first eight months of 2019, WAM said.
