Postponed Demographic Reform May Pose Long-term Challenge

By the end of 2012, the population in China aged between 15 and 69 has been reduced 0.6% y-o-y to a total of 69.2%. At the same time, those aged 60 and above is 14.3% of the total population. Considering the fact that the working population has been in decline for decades, Anbound's fellows warned that if China’s family planning policy lacks the needed reform, it may pose long-term challenges to the country.
