China Should Consider Exchanging Reserve for American Oil and Gas
ANBOUND
The relationship between China and America in the aspect of treasury securities as well as energy supply and demand could be further strengthened. ANBOUND's visiting economist Zhong Wei suggested that before U.S. Federal Reserve starts tapering QE, China should keep reducing U.S. treasury securities until the U.S. government takes the initiative to negotiate with China. China should consider exchanging reserve for American oil and gas. This will not only provide precious export market for American oil and gas, but will also help Chinese energy policy to find some balance between Russia and America.
