A senior Chinese official on Sunday called on media from China and Russia to gather strong positive energy for the development of bilateral ties.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while delivering a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth China-Russia Media Forum held in Shanghai.
