ANBOUND Suggests China Should Introduce Population Development Act
ANBOUND

The long discussed family planning policy "Dan Du Er Tai" (policy that allows a couple to have second child if one of them comes from one-child family) has finally begin. ANBOUND's research team thinks that China should switch its focus from population size to population development, as the purpose of “Dan Du Er Tai” policy is to address the issue of China’s future population. From ANBOUND’s point of view, China should revise its Population and Family Planning Law and introduce Population Development Act instead. The Act should be focusing on core issues such as sustainable population development and population quality improvement.
