Difficult Adjustment—First Semi-Annual Economic Report and Prospects for the Second Half Year
ANBOUND

Six months have passed in 2014. Currently, China's macro-economic operation has gradually turned into a stabilizing trend from the dramatic slowdown at the beginning of the year, with basically stable economic indicators in all crucial areas. But the fixed asset investment growth has witnessed a slowdown and the real estate market has started to carry out its adjusting process. As to the economic outlook for the second half of the year, China is expected to maintain its economic growth rate to 7.5%. However, several issues still need to be urgently addressed in various aspects, like economic restructuring, industrial development environment and property industry risk as well as deepening the reform, etc. After the economic pressure for "stabilizing growth" has been relieved, reform orientation will once again be regarded as the policy focus in the second half year. Moreover, reform can contribute to the solution to other problems.
