As the source of most resources, land resources provide an essential place for people to live and serve basic space for economic activities of a nation to operate. Generally, land resources are comparatively stable and counted as an important indicator of fundamental realities of a country. The boast of vast land and abundant resources with a large population is mere generalities of China's land resources and population, so it can’t represent the overall situation. By making brief quantitative analysis on China’s land resources, and comparing with other countries, this report draws us a clear and objective view on the quality of Chinese land resources and where they stand in the world.
