Taiwan's Anti-CSSTA Campaign and Its Implication

The campaign against the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement (CSSTA) in Taiwan was took place in March this year whereby a group of college students has occupied Taiwan's Legislative Yuan meeting from 18th March to 10th April. The campaign is a big issue that deserves great attention for the development of cross-strait political and economic relations. There are several questions that worth noting: Why CSSTA receive such opposition even though it has significant advantages to Taiwan? What kind of political landscape can be reflected through this campaign? What are the changes that occurred in Taiwan’s society? Which factor(s) contributed to an end of the campaign? What are the lessons learned from this incident?
