The National Audit Office of China released an assessment report of local government debts on December 30 last year. Local audit agencies have conducted thorough nationwide investigations on local government debts since the early of 2014. So far 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions have published their own reports except for Tibet Autonomous Region. These 30 reports along with the previous nationwide auditing report have constituted the most comprehensive and authoritative government debt data.
