Food security has significant meaning to populous country like China. In the past, China mainly relies on traditional agriculture whereby farmers grow the grains while the enterprises process and sell it. Follow on, the country will purchase grain and use state treasury to guarantee food supply and stabilizes the grain price. All these steps are done in a traditional way but the approaches are no longer applicable in China. ANBOUND research team believes that in the new context, modern food industry system is an innovative way to ensure China's food security. It is the top priority of Chinese governance.
