China has seen an increase in environmental pollution incidents recently. The statistics released to the public has revealed that these incidents indicate the accelerated outbreak trend. The improvements of environmental awareness among the public and information dissemination have presented new challenges to the government in tackling the environmental pollution issues. As a whole, China has started to pay the price for pollution by entering the "high cost era of debt payment".
