By October 28, 25 provinces (regions, cities) had published their GDP growth rates in the first three quarters. It is noteworthy that the sum of local GDP figures is larger than that published by National Bureau of Statistics. This problem has existed for a long time. Officials in National Bureau of Statistics once said that they were evaluating the quality of the GDP data, and with this, the precision of central and local statistics will be greatly boosted.
