China should be Cautious about Inland Nuclear Power Plant Policy
ANBOUND
The development of Chinese nuclear power has been at a standstill since the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan. Anbound's senior researcher, He Jun believes that China should learn from the Fukushima nuclear disaster which caused heavy pollution. The population density and water condition in the inland are quite different from those in the coastal areas. China should be cautious about building nuclear power plant in the inland. Once anything goes wrong, it would be very difficult to deal with the consequences. The central government should be resourceful and determined about the approval of inland nuclear plant.
