From the perspective of environmental protection, China's development has to a greater degree, destroyed the basic conditions of sustainable development. On this, Anbound’s think tank scholar calls for the issue to be categorized as one of the development crises in order to arouse the government’s determination to deal with the issue. From the seriousness of environmental pollution and the societal responses thus far, China’s future development is likely to be overwhelmed by environmental disaster.
