'1+3' Paradigm is More Clear After Japan, EU Retaliate Against US Tarriff
ANBOUND
After failing to communicate with the United States on imposing high tariffs on exempted iron and aluminum products, Japan plans to launch a retaliatory action against U.S. by imposing tariffs on U.S. exports worth US$ 409 million. The European Union is also preparing to counter the U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs as well. Japan and Europe have launched retaliation actions against the U.S. and this shows that the world's structure is undergoing changes as mentioned by Anbound; this is the emergence of the "1+3" world paradigm that includes the U.S. as one bloc, and China, Japan and Germany as another bloc. Under such new paradigm, if China, Japan and Germany should let go of their differences, and engage in more cooperation and communication to make this "1+3" strategic paradigm successful.
