Sino-Russian CR929 Aircraft Will Face Harsher Challenges on Trial Certificates

Yang Zhigang, a
pre-researcher of COMAC, revealed that the CR929 project is proceeding as
planned and expected to achieve the first fly by 2025. Anbound judged, as a
Sino-Russian cooperation project, CR929 benchmarking the Boeing 787
medium-sized passenger aircraft, will face great challenges on obtaining the Euramerican trial certificates in the future. Comparing with the past, the environment for
China's development of large aircraft is deteriorating: first, the
international trade environment has deteriorated significantly and derived into
the field of science and technology; second, the competition on market space
among countries has been further intensified; third, restrictions on advanced
technology transfer by developed countries will be strengthened.
