Competition for talents in Chinese cities
ANBOUND

The competition for talents in Chinese cities has become increasingly fiercer, starting from the first and the second tier cities to the third and fourth tier cities. What are these cities compete for? First, the most direct answer is the labor force; so long of there are laborers in the population, there will be potential talent supply. Second, grabbing the spending power. The young population is not only a source of labor force but it is also a potential consumption force. Third, grabbing the talents can expand the size of urban population and increase urban consumer demand, and ultimately will increase the city's asset prices.
