The Federal Reserves announced a rate hike of 25 basis points, being the first interest rate policy decision after Jerome Powell took over the chairmanship of the Fed. Fed officials estimate that interest rate will hike three times in 2018, three times in 2019 and twice in 2020. However, Fed officials said that with the changes in economic conditions, the Fed will change its expectations as well; they understand the trade policy and its impact on the economic direction, and a wider range of trade measures may affect the economic outlook as well.
