China's government reform approaching developed countries
ANBOUND
Since the 1980s, Chinese government institutions have experienced seven major reforms; there were 52 ministries and commissions in 1982, but this number has been reduced to the latest 26. Compared with other countries, China's government reforms are approaching to that of the developed countries. For example, the U.S. federal government's administrative now has 15 executive departments, the three largest being the Department of Defense, Department of State and the Department of the Treasury. The French government currently has 12, while Russia’s current major reforms are basically completed and has 21.
