On March 1, the U.S. President Trump announced that it will formally sign an order imposing a 25% and 10% tariff on all imported steel and aluminum products. This can be a turning point where a potential world trade war will take shape under the stimulus of the Trump administration. Although China is not directly affected by the tariffs on steel and aluminum, it will surely become the main target of the U.S. trade pressure. China needs to proceed from its own national interests in all aspects and comprehensively determine its future policy choices in the fields of international trade and investment.
