China's GDP target remains unchanged
ANBOUND

Yang Weimin, vice minister of the Office of the Central Leading Group on Financial and Economic Affairs, recently said that concerning the issue of GDP growth, it will be very difficult to double the target by 2020 and to achieve an average annual growth rate of 6.3% over the next three years. This position is considered as a clear delineation of the new growth threshold in the crucial period of China's economic restructuring. Some who have participated in the drafting of this year's government work report revealed that this year's formulation of the GDP target is the same as last year. The goal of "6.5%" will not change, but its wording will show less focus on the GDP growth target.
