China is about to settle its local government debts. Anbound's research team presumes that the central and local governments will settle the large scale of local government debts effectively. However, part of the settlement will be passing to the taxpayers. Anbound suggests the central government to adopt diversified approaches in settling the local government debts on top of financial system reform in order to address the root causes of debt expansion impulse by the local governments.
