On the 22nd, the central government of China had a meeting and received the planning report of Xiong'an New District. The meeting held that important progress has been made in the planning work, stressing that the Xiong'an New District should focus on building centralized non-capital function of Beijing, which conforms to nature and respects the law, while creating reasonable urban space. The city should have Chinese characteristic, completed with innovative urban style. The meeting called for prompt study in measures to support Xiong'an New District to speed up the reform and opening up and the launch a batch of basic major projects in a timely manner.
