China's rocket industry faces challenger with SpaceX's launch of Falcon Heavy
ANBOUND
The success of the launch of SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket has ignited new rocket-launching competition. SpaceX’s reusable rocket launchers cost only US$ 60 million for rockets and US$ 200,000 to US$ 300,000 for fuel; in comparison its rivals require the cost of up to US$ 225 million to launch rocket. China's rocket launch has also begun to enter the international market and has undertaken some international launch operations, but it is still relatively small in scale at present. As SpaceX’s recyclable launch technology matures, China will face greater challenges in participating in international competition.
