According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, in 2017, China's GDP totaled RMB 82.7122 trillion, exceeding RMB 80 trillion for the first time; its GDP grew 6.9% over the same period of previous year, an increase of 0.2% from 2016's. This is the first acceleration of China's economic growth since 2010. However, although 2017 saw the first acceleration of China's economic growth in the past seven years, such accelerated growth will not necessarily continue in 2018 and China's economic growth may slow to 6.5% this year.
