On January 3, Premier Li Keqiang presided over the State Council executive meeting. The meeting pointed out that optimizing the business environment means liberating the productive forces and enhancing their overall competitiveness. The meeting also stated that both hard and soft environments are important, hard environment should be continuously improved, while the soft environment should be continuously having new breakthroughs. First, it is necessary to further simplify the business environment with a focus on simplifying tax cuts and fees; second, there is the need to protect property rights in an equal manner according to law; third, international experience can be used examples and attention should be paid on the establishment of business environment evaluation mechanism.
