On December 28, 2017, China's Central Bank Shanghai headquarter has released the "Report on the Development of the International Financial Center 2017", stating that Shanghai has basically established its position as the Chinese financial center focusing on the financial market system. It should be pointed out that although the report described the status of Shanghai as a financial hub in China, it is rather cautious. Although Shanghai's development goal is to become international financial center, it actually lags far behind. Objectively speaking, Shanghai is only a financial center focusing on the financial market system.
