Environmental protection will be influential "hard constraint" in China
ANBOUND

Under the goal of the "three crucial actions" of the Chinese Central Government, with the formal implementation of the environmental tax in 2018, the Central Government will step up efforts to improve the environmental inspections around the country. To be sure, pollution prevention and environmental protection will become one of the influential "hard constraints" in China's economic works in 2018. Although environmental protection does not necessarily contravene economic growth, hard constraints will still have some restraining effect on economic growth in the absence of substantial changes in industrial structure and environmental protection.
