ANBOUND Hosted 2025 Trend Seminar
ANBOUND PR Office

The global economic landscape is increasingly complex and volatile. Weak global economic growth, intensifying geopolitical conflicts, rising protectionism, and unilateralism pose significant challenges to global economic recovery.

For China, its domestic economic situations are prominent: the growth of local government debts, a persistently sluggish real estate market, the pronounced trends of population aging and low birth rates, waning business confidence, lackluster growth, and a severe deterioration of household balance sheets. These issues and more are of global concerns, and they are the crucial topics discussed in ANBOUND 2025 Trend Seminar held on 19 December 2024, at the Qiantang Crowne Plaza Hotel in Hangzhou City of Zhejiang Province.

This event set "What are We Having China's Lost 30 Years?" as its theme. During the event, ANBOUND's founder Mr. Kung Chan and a group of researchers, economists and industry experts conducted an in-depth analysis of the current Chinese and international environment. They assessed the major economic trends and forecasted potential developments as the world ushers in the advent of 2025.

In his keynote speech, Mr. Chan discussed the effectiveness of China's comprehensive policies on fiscal measures, monetary adjustments, capital markets, and real estate in 2025. He also provided his opinions on the impact of Donald Trump's presidency and American policies toward China, the global landscape under the backdrop of de-globalization, and Chinese companies' expansion overseas.

The morning session was followed by a roundtable forum on China's land economy and new urban development, where renowned experts brought together diverse perspectives on the future direction of the land economy and urban functions amid policy adjustments, shifting market demands, and macroeconomic fluctuations.

Next, there was the second roundtable forum focusing on the overseas expansion of Chinese companies. Experts shared their views on risks and challenges such as geopolitical tensions, trade disputes, and cross-cultural complexities, as well as issues on addressing these challenges for enterprises in their globalization strategy and achieving long-term success in the global market.
