Analysts say China will need 75 years to catch-up with the United States
ANBOUND
IMF has recently released the 2017 GDP ranking outlook of the countries and regions in the world. The report says that the U.S. GDP has exceeded US$ 19 trillion and China has approached US$ 12 trillion. However, China's GDP growth was slightly lower than that of the United States and the gap between China and the United States expanded by US$ 32.2 billion. Coupled with US$ 428.1 billion in 2016, the gap between China and the United States in the past two years has expanded by US$ 460.4 billion, equivalent to the total economic output of Shanghai. Accordingly, some analysts pointed out that for China to catch-up with the United States, it is not as easy as it often sounds; China will need 75 years to catch-up with the United States.
