China's State Council General Office has recently issued a notice encouraging the establishment of "Made in China 2025" national demonstration area. The notice is clear that municipalities directly under the Central Government, sub-provincial cities, and prefecture-level cities can apply to create a demonstration area; cities with similar industries of similar distance and high degree of relation can jointly apply to create a demonstration area. Demonstration areas should give full play to regional industrial advantages, take the initiative in major national strategies, scientifically determine the direction of manufacturing development, and create an industrial, innovation, talent and policy chain linking to the ecological environment.
