ANBOUND

The problem in development of China's IC industry mainly lack of talents. In 2017, the number of IC practitioners in China was about 140,000, generating revenue of RMB 194.6 billion and per-capita output of RMB 1.39 million. It is estimated that if the aforementioned output per capita is maintained to achieve the output target of RMB 350 billion for the design industry in 2020, China will need at least 280,000 employees. However, the total number of graduates that can be trained by Chinese universities before 2020 will not exceed 80,000. There will be a gap of more than 60,000 employees.
