Two problems in China's endowment assurance
ANBOUND
There are two major problems in China's ability to provide endowment assurance. First, there are big gaps in the ability in different areas; for instance, the dependency ratio of Heilongjiang is 1.3: 1, while the dependency ratio in Guangdong is 9: 1. Second, the overall pension security long-term trend is not optimistic. In order to ease these complicated system issues, China should reform its system of allocating state-owned assets to enrich social security while continuing to relax its population policy so as to prepare for its future's alleviation of the high dependency of the endowment assurance.
