Beijing should consider establishing street representative system
ANBOUND

Innovating urban street management system is an issue and a challenge. Urban street management must be strict and subtle, yet at the same time decisive and lenient. According to Chan Kung, Anbound's chief researcher, Beijing and other key cities may consider establishing a street representative system. Under the leadership of the urban sub-district offices, the representatives will play the role of urban residents and oversee urban management, as well as participate in street management from a more objective perspective, in order to improve street management. This should be the future focus of institutional innovation.
