On November 4, Yao Qian, director of the Institute of Digital Currency of the People's Bank of China, affirmed the four significance of accelerating the development of the "legal digital currency": The first is to help improving the digital economy; the second is to contribute to the digital economy's inclusive sharing; the third is to help macroeconomic regulation and control of the digital economy; the fourth is contributing to the digital economy risk prevention. From the above standpoints, the key to the healthy development of digital currency is its legality; the digital currency without legal status will be excluded.
