ANBOUND

The issue of "same share with different rights: has been in discussion in Hong Kong for several years, but it is yet to achieve any breakthrough. Carlson Tong, the Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) recently said that different voting rights structure will help to attract "new economy" companies to enter Hong Kong to solve the problem of market structure imbalance, that is a small number of large companies occupy most of the market share. The SFC supports the introduction of different voting structures and is discussing measures to protect investors with the Hong Kong Government and the HKEx. The support of the SFC will increase the possibility of Hong Kong to amend the system.
