• The Commercialized War and BRI's Security Environment

• Hamas-Israel Conflict, and War Between Russia and Ukraine
Speaker: Zhao Zhijiang, Researcher at ANBOUND
• Changes of Global Risks Against Chinese Firms and How to Protect Investments
Speaker: He Jun (Director of Macro-Economy Research Center and Senior Researcher at ANBOUND), and Wang Yi (Head of Global Development Program at ANBOUND)
Moderator: Wang Zhaoxi, Director of Public Relations at ANBOUND
Geopolitics is increasingly becoming a dominant force in international economic issues. With the eruptions of the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel-Palestine conflict, regional tensions are escalating, the global security environment continues to deteriorate, and uncertainties in the external investment environment are on the rise. This signifies various non-traditional security risks for Chinese enterprises to "go global". Hence, there is a need for entrepreneurs to grasp environmental changes, make sound judgments, and adjust their business strategies.
The workshop was joined by a dozen of the biggest Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) including CNPC, Sinopec, ICBC, as well as tech companies in Zhongguancun, China's Silicon Valley. Representatives from these participating companies have extensive experience in overseas practices and have shared their professional insights in their respective industries and business areas. They expressed hope to promote international exchange, cooperation, and platform development in areas such as finance, insurance, climate change, and cultural exchange.
