What does Bannon's speech indicate?
ANBOUND
Steve Bannon, the former adviser of the American President Donald Trump, was invited to deliver a speech on September 12. In the speech, Bannon displayed his hostile attitude towards China as a competitor in trade and as a rival of the United States. This might cause displease among Chinese, yet China does not have to be concerned of the visit since Bannon merely addressed the rise and fall of nations, and the growth and decline of hegemony from the American perspectives. These issues are part of the developmental pattern of geopolitics and geo-economy. The reform in China did not start today and will remain unchanged as long as there are needs for reform and marketization.
