On the BRICS Summit, the Chinese media suggested another interpretation of the acronym. BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, though according to the new interpretation B stands for Banking, R for Railways, I for Integrated market, C for Culture and S for South-South cooperation. This shows that China is pushing for its Belt & Road Initiative through the BRICS Summit.
