On August 28, Indian military force has withdrawn from China's Doklam (Donglang) area to the Indian side, and this has been confirmed by the Chinese officials. This does not necessarily solve the Sino-India conflict. From the previous experience of Sino-Indo border disputes, solving the current issue is far from solving the root of the problem. The sting between the two nations will evolve to a permanent and comprehensive one. The withdrawal, however, has calmed the nerves of two countries and brought time for China.
