PetroChina Corruption Problem Might Pave the Way for Gas Price Reform

The corruption problem in PetroChina now is considered to be the trigger for gas price reform. According to some sources, the NDRC has repeatedly requested the representatives from oil companies to attend meetings in order to discuss re-nationalizing PetroChina's pipeline businesses. Though controversial in itself, the exposure of the corruption issue reduced certain obstructions that prevented the gas price reform.
