On public policy and GMO products in China

China should establish several principles to the problems of genetically modified organism (GMO) products. 1) The government, instead of the scientists, should carry out the role of regulatory body mediating different parties' interests, but importance is given to the public interest. 2) Ensuring the public's awareness and ability to decide.
